Port Ellen 1979 – 22 Year Old – 1st Release

This Islay is the first ever annual release from the Port Ellen distillery. It was distilled in 1979, and bottled at cask strength twenty-two years later. The distillery shut up shop in 1983, but its legend lives on through hard-to-find bottlings like this one.
